My mistake you are correct. But. What I am impressed with is the Diamond Pacific 40T starts every time loaded to capacity every time you turn it on. The 4 Tumbler B's The two Lortone QT66's And the two Lortone 33b's I have when the power is pulled when turned back on you can flip a coin on wether they will start or not. If they don't start they will sit there and cook till the overload trips or the house burns down. HP is King when torque is needed. If this guy is spinning a coffee can that much hp is not needed and at 3500 rpm I don't wanna be in the room.

Rock, while some good info has been posted here, I think the OP is trolling. No reasonable body would think 3500rpm is a good idea for a rock tumbler

Must not have much of a life.

Cut and paste this post into it's own build thread. Tommy loves build threads!

I said earlier in this thread you could get a Motor from an HVAC Guy for less than $50.00 with a pulley this motor new cost me $46.30 HankRocks Well I guess the guy who dies with the mos tumblers wins! I need to tell the wife I need a MICHIGAN FRONT END LOADER AND STEAM SHOVEL!!

Cut and paste this post into it's own build thread. Tommy loves build threads! Good call. As much as I love turning threads into new threads (I actually do love it - it's fun haha) I see that TheRock took your advice and created a new tumbler build thread so I'm just gonna let this one lie. Regarding the OP - I'm not convinced he started this thread with the intention of trolling so I would say lets give him a chance to posts any updates or new results. I think it's feasible that a guy acquires a blower motor thinking wtf can I make spin with this ... paint can works and hmmm... I've got this PVC laying around... Maybe he saw JamesP's PVC tumbler build (didn't it have direct belting to the PVC tube? But yeah, a PVC pipe filled with rocks and water spinning 3600 RPM is a recipe to kill someone.
