I just ran out of the tumbling grit pack i bought on amazon. i’m sure i spent way too much. i need more of all stages of grit but am not ready to take the financial hit for the 50# bags. is there a place everyone “in the know” goes to buy this stuff on the cheap? i did a search on the forum but some of the threads seemed potentially out dated. thought i’d just toss it out there. sorry if this is a repeat question.

A lot of us buy from The Rock Shed. They have quality grit at good prices. Be sure to buy lots more coarse grit (46/70 or 60/90j that the other sizes. There’s someone on this forum selling grit too, but I forget who. I have no idea about the quality of what he’s selling.

If it's cheap you want look at this: Aug 7, 2018 at 9:33pm Quote Edit like Post Options Post by goatgrinder on Aug 7, 2018 at 9:33pm I visited Harbor Freight this a.m., after seeing a notice here that a 50lbs bag of #70 AO was $44.49 so I made a purchase. Then they gave me a better deal, @39.99, then a discount on that to $31.99, and with tax added the final bill was $34.55. Go now the deal is only good this month. Do yourself a big favor and buy SiC grit for coarse grinding. Time also has value.
