Thanks all! This grinding stuff is great fun! I love watching the stone take shape.
Kim, the pet wood one I found in the barrel when I checked and recharged. Don't know what it looked like before, but probably very similar because it had only been in 60/90 for a week. I saw it and snatched it out. I really didn't have to do much grinding on it - just a bit to clean it up. I think it's really neat looking. The round ones I did for the tops of a couple of walking sticks. I love the picture rock and I think it's gonna look really cool on the walking stick.
Cookie, the one on the right in the top pic is from the stuff you sent me. It's going to be really nice when I get it finished.
Sands, all my Christmas this year will be something made from rocks, except for the little ones. Of course, Daniel will get his own special rock since he always shows an interest in rocks. I am going to get real ambitious and try to do a truck shaped one for a keyring for my youngest nephew. He has bought several half dead trucks that clutter up my sister's yard. Says he's gonna fix them up one of these days. LOL! I do really enjoy the grinder. I usually don't sit down at it until about this time or later and it's really hard to stop even when I am getting so tired and sleepy I can hardly keep my eyes open! And, of course, it's all your fault! Had you not posted your "first attempts" I wouldn't have lusted for grinder so bad! ;D
