Did you pick that one up from Max (Rock Dog 1)?
Regardless, nice find!

Robin I'm embarrassed to say I didn't get the name. He was an old timer (does that narrow it down?) there with his wife up front. He had a sign saying he was retiring and this was his last show. I remember you and I were talking about an ID or something and you said go ask the guy up front because he knew everything.. the guy with the big display of tumble polished cabs. Well this guy was right next to him. That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Yep, that was Max. Definitely an old timer. He used to dig the Bruneau before they put the cabash on it. Vince and I bought a couple of buckets (kitty litter size) from him last year. He has macular degeneration and is losing his eyesight and can't see well enough to work stone anymore. He also used to write articles for Rock and Gem back in the day. My favorite was a step by step on how he did a roadrunner inlay. He displays it in his case at the show every year and I keep trying to get him to let me buy it. So far, not happening. I'll keep working on him, though. He just laughs at me whenever I ask.
