I was looking for something else and found these in a box. I slabbed these myself some time a go. I can tell because one is too thick (figuring out the slaw) and the blade marks are probably from my original Covington blade. I can't remember if I cabbed any of it.  |

I searched on pictures of Montana moss agate and all I saw is what I call Montana agate. The green moss was purchased many years ago and slabbed in 2014 when I took my saw out of the box.

Google "Horse canyon agate"
I've got some looks just like it. Same color green, kinda looks like algae.

I cut a preform from the thinner slab and am not optimistic. Too much moss and not enough agate. Assuming it doesn't fall apart, it would be the first cab I've cut with a flocked finish.

Do a google images search for Hart Mountain moss agate - I've had some and it looks a lot like yours although (no offense) it was a bit higher quality and quite solid on the agate surface.

I can hardly be offended after the remarks I posted. I can't find anything that looks like it and is not high quality. The test cab I cut came out much better than expected and took a polish better than the horse canyon cab I cut. I expected more under cutting. I cut it without a dop and will dop it and work on it some time later.  |
