Any news on this problem? Hi, I've heard from Cloudinary that the current version of the upload widget will continue to work and there is no emergency expiration date looming that would cause the interface between the forum and Cloudinary to stop working. It's kind of like me still running Windows 7 on my computer lol - I keep updates turned off and I'll continue as long as I can. Regarding the fix - I've read how to go into the proboards side plug-in and change it to use the 2.0 widget but the change is not quite working right so I haven't done it here yet. Apparently after upgrading the plug-in to 2.0 it uploads the photos to Cloudinary but it is not plugging the BBcode into the post.

Tommy, I've been trying to upload pictures, but every time I get the message "Upload preset not found". I'm frustrated and don't know what to do. As best I know I've put in the proper presets.

I just uploaded this photo to test the system. seems to work. I had a lot of problems in getting the presets just right, I kept missing some little thing or the other. Hope I don't have to go back and relearn how to do it! Wish you luck!

I capeesh, WoodMan
I think DSL is on the way out as are landlines phones
I just went with a wireless cell phone plan & will be ditching my landline & DSL internet
My monthly cost as basically doubled from the landline $33.00 & the DSL internet provider $45/00.
I do expect my connection rate will be more stable
The one concern is: I’m suppose to have some Hot Spot capabilities so I can fire up my P.C.
Haven’t figured that out yet or how efficient it will be.
O well its what it is & lucky for that in my case
Good luck ! Ed

I am able to upload my photos to Cloudinary, but can't seem to get the photos to change to 800 pixels automatically. I followed all the steps correctly, except step 14, the screen didn't look like that and there was no option to edit the "Incoming Transformation" and set the width to 800. I have been on my Cloudinary account and trying to set the "Incoming Transformation" there but having no luck. Am I under the right assumption that the photos will automatically change to 800 pixels when uploaded to Cloudinary if properly set? Any help would be greatly appreciated as this process is getting very frustrating. One other quick question, what is the purpose of uploading my photos to Cloudinary if I can have them on my PC and then insert them into my conversations here on RTH? Thanks.

You have to have some type of server to host your photos on before you can insert them into your posts on the forum. You can't just insert them into a post on RTH from your PC. I'm sure Tommy will get you fixed up.

One other quick question, what is the purpose of uploading my photos to Cloudinary if I can have them on my PC and then insert them into my conversations here on RTH? Thanks. What Robin said - there is no mechanism at the moment for the forum software to recieve an uploaded photo and store it and serve it to the internet. Cloudinary is a photo host that can do all of this while never we never really have to interact with it other than the dialog box that comes up when the upload button is pressed. I'm sorry for the frustration - I'm in the middle of a long work weekend on the road but when I'm back at my computer I'll help you figure out the incoming transformations thing.

Thanks so much Tommy. I can get them uploaded, just having a little trouble getting them down to the right size. Thanks again!
