Hi Folks,
I find myself in a place that you don't often get, a reboot so to speak. For reasons that aren't really important I find I am rebuilding my workshop. I am starting over with new tools, machines and everything really. At the moment I just have some lamps, a cheap but ok flex shaft, a couple of cheapo dremel knock offs, one rechargeable electric 3/8" drill on the plus side. I am getting my various hand-tools, files, a few measuring tools etc but other than that I don't have much else laying about. To top it off I am keeping an eye on building things around a couple of rolling carts for the moment since I am in a rental space and this isn't where I plan to be long term. I saw a thread over in the Rock Carving section on a great little Carver made from some buckets with a water feed I can see making right off as that is going to fit the scale of what I want to do in the shorter term
My question for folks comes down to this, if you were to start re-equipping yourself where would you start and why?
My instinct so far is to go for a cheap 7" Harbor Freight Wet tile saw to use a trim saw/cutter and order some laps to make a 6 or 8" flat lap when I can source a 3/4 to 1hp motor locally and make a wood frame for a start but I am open to other suggestions.
