That said, sex is good. With yourself? Or did you finally find a partner? I'll never tell.

All great suggestions! Except he doesn't tumble- wish he would. DH is getting Mexican on the way home. He doesn't care for yard work, but he does enjoy his hobby and dining out. My daughter got him a bracelet. It's nice, but I didn't think he would wear it as he already wears one, but he is wearing it. Surprised me. What's the hobby?

Lately, he's been doing Warhammer miniatures- painting them. He's doing it with and for my grandson.

How fun! I'm not familiar with Warhammer...probably too old. I always enjoy gifts that have to do with my interests/hobbies. At the hobby/science store in the modeling section I've seen a small scale air brush kit for painting. It may or may not be useful for his type of modeling. If he's my age or up more light is always better...at the home store I've seen some handy new LED task lights that are bright, focused, bendable, clampable, or even on a head band. I won't buy one since my old, hot, incandescent light still works fine, but if someone were to give me one for a gift... Maybe a Dremel tool, a flexible head attachment, or tiny bit set for modifying parts? Subscription to a modeling magazine? Gift membership to the American Modeler's Association? I don't know if there is such a group, but it wouldn't surprise me. That's all I've got. Good luck!

I received a gift a few years ago from my daughter that I've really enjoyed and find many uses for. It's a Leatherman PST II, something almost any guy might need now and then. It's a steel folding combination tool that cleverly conceals needle-nose pliers, a file with coarse and fine surfaces, a small probe, a Phillips screwdriver, a can opener, a very sharp pocket knife with sharp and serrated edges, two sizes of flat-head screwdrivers, and a scissors. Mine is just one of many different models with more and fewer features.
It all folds into a compact 1 x 4-inch unit that can be worn on the belt in a leather holster (supplied). I keep mine on my workbench and find it very useful when I'm in the middle of a task and don't want to get up and search for regular tool. It might even be handy for model-making.
ETA: Oops - forgot to mention it also has rulers on both outside edges.

He claims he wouldn't use an air gun. I've gotten him a headband light and an led gooseneck with a magnifier. Got him the rechargeable dremel with attachments, too. My daughter religiously gets him a hobby shop gift card. He LOVES his hobby. Luckily, it's cheaper than mine.

He loves the knife I got him for work. He uses it all the time.

When I am asked what I want I always refer them to the old and trusty standby (stocks, bonds and real estate). My parents finally learned that it is not a good thing to buy me a book on the "roadside geology of IL" because when they drive down here and ask me about it I pull out my copy I've had for years. Then they are stuck with a book they don't want and I don't get a gift. That goes for most things people not interested in rocks think about for gifts. Most of the things I am interested in are expensive and if they send me $5 or $10 for a gift I just put it in a pile till I can buy what I want. I have a good library of fossil books that I have found and purchased over the years. That way I get what I want and they have given it to me but it may take several years. Now my wife and parents and in-laws to just send money. Cash is like a gift card that can be spent anywhere at anytime with no restrictions or charges. One other thing I have learned doing it this way is my interests varies and many thing fall by the wayside which saves $$. BTW though I really like sharp 6+ year old cheddar. the problem with giving cheese as a gift is there is always someone cutting the cheese.
