Every year about this time we take off for a week in the Adirondack mountains a couple hours north of us. This year we were at a cabin on the east branch of the Ausable River in Upper Jay, NY. I'll post some rock photos later. The roadbeds we walked sparkled in the sun.

A home-made swimming hole
Riverbed full of rocks. 90% granite, smooth and shaped.
Nice places to walk / hike
According to the landlord, this is a float from a seaplane that went down in the woods many years ago. The NO STEP label on it was barely legible.
