Beautiful piece of Uranium Glass received from jamesp.

After using a hand file to make grooves. Wire is 24 gauge gold filled. Tightened wires and ensured they were in grooves after photo. Messy wrap style.

I have multifocal contacts, that's mostly why I take pics of my rocks- so I can see the detail better. Anyway, I like this!

I just have no line bifocals right now that are 2 years old. Prior to that had progressive, tinted lenses.
Vision problems can be a pain when doing lapidary or jewelry. But I am persistent. This is my happy place.

This seems to be my happy place as well.

I do like it. I wish I had some sort of artistic skills, wrapping seems fun.

I never thought about doing that with uranium glass. I wonder if my wife would mind if I accidentally dropped something from her collection? Unless I want to sleep beside the pooch, I guess I would would be better off looking for something already chipped and marked down. I am impressed that you finished the groves by hand. I don't think I would have the patience.
