We stopped by a place that had some poor quality amyethst, but it was still cool, and we decided to check out a hill close to where it was also, this is what we found. Calcite cyrstals....very fragile stuff. This is the hill where the amyethst is at. Hope you can see the veins of amyethst in the rock here. Some amyethst that was laying around: Some odds and ends from the other hill. This one had a cool looking brown round thing in it, have no idea what it is, but looked neat. Not sure what these are, one is the inside peice of a geode I think. The bigger brown one is smooth inside, Cindy thought it might be jasper, but not 100% sure. Bunny

Hello Bunny! I just love that type of trips in which you can find a lot of different and interesting rocks, congratulations very nice findings! The 5th picture, the one with the cool looking brown round thing in it, looks like petrified wood to me! Very nice! The picture with veins of amyethst and the last one are very nice and interesting as well. Now to the tumbler!!! ;D

Bunny, that is so cool that you found a group to go rockhounding with. I wish I had something like that around here. You got some great stuff and even better is new acquaintences and new friends.

Another group of nice finds! Ohh...lucky lucky finds! Nice Calcite and amethyst! In the 6th picture, the one with the tiny crystals, that's some type of druse I think. Very pretty!
