Here here, well said!! Lighten up, nothing meant anything by it. So big deal, maybe they have a lot of employees and decided to give the job to the MEXICAN employees instead of the SWEDISH employees because they could do a better job. Maybe those MEXICAN employees are proud of their heritage and don't mind being described that way ... who are you to tell them they can't be?
Good grief, next thing you know we won't be able to refer to ourselves "Minnesotans" or "Texans" or "Canadians" or "Americans" .... Pffffffttttttttttttttttttt

I was being flip when I said I was offended. Just trying to lighten things up and defend my Greek/Italian/English/German/ and French-Canadian heritage.
And, I'm not telling anyone what to think. I'm expressing what I think; isn't that what this forum is for?
Rush Limbaugh was run out on a rail for expressing the media bias regarding 'black' quarterbacks. He was a sports commentator, why not just talk about quarterbacks? The agate was cracked by Steve; who cares if Steve is black, Mexican, or Irish.
Maybe I was just being too picky but I saw the inclusion as unneeded.
I hold no bad blood toward rockyraccon and no apology in necessary. I was not offended. The comment just seemed a little off to me and I made an observation.
I look forward to learning more about rocks as I continue to explore these boards. And I hope to become friends with rocky and the rest of you as time goes on.

I have read every post on this board and this was the first time anyone took offense to anything. This is a very happy and helpful board with alot of great members. I would hate for it to become a politically correct forum, then we would have to call the rocks by there scientific name and not just a 'rock'. Lighten up!!! As said in a previous post, we are all the same in here.... Rockhounds!!!!
Sorry, but I just had to post my opinion. If the new members or 'guests' don't like it...... See Ya!!!!

Tood, sorry for fussing at you. Next time you say something in fun that folks might take seriously - not that we take much of anything seriously, except Rocks - ya' might want to click on the smiley face at the top. That way everybody will know you are just being a wiseass! ;D
Maybe I was just being too picky but I saw the inclusion as unneeded.
People that have never been around stone layers probably wouldn't understand why the inclusion would be necesary, but there are stonelayers and STONELAYERS and Mexican STONELAYERS are the best. They are especially talented at breaking a stone - they are almost always able to find that weak spot that will give them the best break in the stone and almost always get it right. So, when Rocky said Mexicans, I knew exactly what she meant. BTW, Rocky and her hubby have a flooring company and they do alot of tile work with ceramic tile. From what I have seen Mexicans are far superior in working with tile and stone than anyone else. And, as quite proud of their wori. The use of Mexican distinguished them as some of the best stone workers. It is a compliment.
If the new members or 'guests' don't like it...... See Ya!!!!
I agree 100%! I'm a Texas redneck and PC crap just totally disgusts me.

Hi all, Apologies to Toad. I also took him to be serious. I know sometimes it is hard to distinguish between being a smart a$$ and just an a$$. But I hear ya man! More power to the humorous. ;D Llana, I am originally from Louisiana, therefore I am a Coon-A$$. Four years ago I moved to rural Mississippi, land of the rednecks. So now am I a Red A$$?? I should not be writing , as it is getting past bedtime. But after reading all about the much Honoured Mexican Rocksplitters , I can't keep my mouth shut.
Very nice rocks , well split and I suggest to Bear that he talks nicely to the same Mexicans. They must be a right great bunch.
Hehe , I am originaly (*****/dutch/) and they have no need for rocksplitters. except the ones that are rockhounds hehe.
But I have seen ***** bricklayers splitting bricks so straight , I too was amazed by their skill.
Now for a rocksaw....does the job too as straight as possible. BTW, had a great rockhaul yesterday at the 80th birthday party of one of our RHCmembers. 2 bags full of petwood , agates and all sort of other rocks, split and some polished and all. That member's sister had died 3 months ago and she was letting us clean up her shed a bit. The rest will be thrown away except for the pieces left on the shelves haha.
have a good one
Jack
