Hello all, I spent 4 hours today at the local gravel pit looking for rocks. ;D I found some lakers. Most of them are small. I also picked up some other tumbling rocks. I took alot of pics with my camera. But they do not seem very clear. Here are some pics that are not to bad. Chris

Oooo looks like some nice rock to me Chris, just remember what I told you now .... leave some for me!! ;D ;D I'd say you had a pretty good day. Have you found much quartz in there, I always look for colored quartz whenever I hit the gravel pit. Just kills me that winters coming on already, I need to hit some more gravel pits!!

Cher, The gravel pit seems to be separating rock sizes right now, so they are moving rock around. I do not think I will find all the lakers. I found most of the lakers in the smallest sort size of rock which is loaded with lakers. It looked like I was the only person to look there. (No foot tracks) Most people want the larger lakers which are hard to find and they are in the larger size piles. Most of the quartz I find is clear, white, and yellow. Some of the rocks I find might be quartz and are blue, green, and a rock that is multicolored. I will leave some for you. ;D Chris
