...that I've been working on. One week of 60/90, wet: same dry: Close up of speckles in quartz: The orangish/rusty quartz is some local rock and the green quartz came from banjo. I was surprised how fast the saw cut rock shapes up in the tumbler. One more week of 60/90 ought to do it. Thanks for looking. Jimmy

..yep, the green quartz came from Banjo.
I think it took around 30 mins to cut, not really sure.. All I know is that the quartz cuts TWICE as fast as the agate does, especially when trying to slab..

i just love the "before and after" shots! i always mean to do that and rarely follow up. but it is SUCH a transformation, i suppose that is why we are all really addicted to this thing, huh?
some of that quartz almost looks like pet wood it is so colorful! way to go, Jimmy!

That green quartz is really nice. Have you ever done any blue quartz? Was wondering what that would look like.

Jimmy, do you use a vibe? I've had some pet wood in 60/90 for almost three weeks in Big Red (Thumblers model B) and it hasn't shaped that well. That's going to be a beautiful batch. Good luck!
