Does anyone have anything bad to say about the newer Cabkings? I see their motors don't seem high in power rating wise but maybe the direct drive is better than the pulley driven? Thoughts please on the newer Cabkings. Looked at the EZ cab but just not a lot to go on. Woukd love any owners to comment on it too. I want a ready to go 6 wheel unit with water. Thanks

The CabKing is a copy of the Genie so has a Chinese version of the direct drive 1/4hp motor DP uses. Direct drive makes a huge difference over belt drive. You lose a lot of power and torque with belt drive. As far as CabKing, I don't know how many I have sold but I think I only have had two warranty issues. One was a faulty on/off switch and customer easily popped old one out, new one in. The other had a cord not wired in and customer fixed that easily too. The original version had a horrible water system they corrected. Unit has a lot more metal than Genie and looks very nice. The wheels are typical Chinese and will last less time than DP wheels but actual longevity depends on user and how heavy handed you are. I have never been a fan of hecho en China but the CabKing appears to be well made and customer service is first rate.

Would you buy it over the EZ cab or a lortone 6 wheel stainless unit....and did you get my email/message about saw blades? Thank you sir. I appreciate your insight.

Former club president has a cab king and is quite pleased with it, also several very busy cab cutters on FB swear by them (not at them). I am also not at all a fan of made in China, but in this case you have Kingsley backing up the product, and their reputation is important to them. I know next to nothing about the EZ cab, the Lortone stainless unit is a quality unit with another company that will totally back their product.

Think I've decided on the Lortone Stainless 6 wheel 6" unit using my brand new DP wheel set. Getting the setup with motor and water drip system. I like the Cabking looks and reviews but the Stainless, easy to replace motor and simple water system wins out for me. Anybody got any upgrade ideas for the Lortone light or other wise?
Thanks,
Jason
