Old HP 16" HP cuts well but I notice light saw marks on stuff I cut. Not deep but I can see the "swirls. Could it be a dull blade. It"s an old one I'm sure. Doesn't seem "dished". Any tips or help appreciated. Thanks all.

If in doubt, sharpen it, but some marks are pretty normal and some blades are worse than others.

Yep. sophia13 , if you're seeing photos of freshly cut slabs that really look good, the scratches are usually hidden because the slabs are often photographed wet. When they dry out, the scratches will appear. Folks usually don't worry about that too much, as they are often polishing the entire slab as a specimen/display item, or they plan on making cabs out of them in the future. Good luck.
