Hi guys and gals,
I'm in pre polish with my local quartz and allready making plans for the next batch. I plan on doing some labadorite, lapis, and ? I have some Tiger eye I'm anxious to start as well. I've got small quantities of each and need to bulk up the load. I don't know the MOH on the Tiger eye, and the scale I have in my favs doesn't list it. Can I run it in the same batch? It does list hematite as being a 6, but will that be safe? It's so heavy and the labadorite is thin and seems fragile. I'm going to start it all in 600 in the vibe (skipping what, for the vibe, is the coarse stage) as most of it is pre slabbed quite thinly, even the Tiger eye. I need about 1/2 a lb. of fill and have a room full of rocks, but can't find the MOH on some of them. Anybody have suggestions on a #6 filler?
