WOW! Allready you are brave enough to slice so thin! Have you done a finger count lately? I hope the finished product matchs the slabs, those are great. Are you going to try to cab or tumble? The second pic won't come up for me. I tried the right click thing, sent it all over the place and still can't see it. It looks like a fun day and a half!

Thanks you two!
Cookie, doh...guess I'm getting tired. I uploaded the "correct" pic now. Refreshing the page and the images should work. Hope I don't give your puter a heart attack!
Also, will do a little of both, cabbing and tumbling. My end cuts will be shaped up a bit and tossed in my tumblers for sure! Need to modify my cabbing jig. It doesn't fit in my comb unit. So that's going to take a bit of work on my part. Also, don't have the drip water thingee set up yet. That'll have to wait a few days. Need to pick up some parts. Once it's all set up, I'll take a few photos... (after I clean it up of course!)
Some of the rutilated is fairly fat. It was really tough disecting the rutilated. I spent most of my day cutting that! I was trying to lose as little as possible.
The quartz tends to crumble right at the beginning and end of the cut, so I use a woodworks trick, take another rock and carefully use that as a "push-stick"at the end of the cut, instead of risking losing a thumb. (Just on the slab side.)
Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but isn't equal pressure on each side of the stone the key to getting your slabs from being lop-sided?
