Oh boy, are you guys in for it now. Got my camera in the mail today and I've been playing with it since I got home. I just pulled out a bowl of finished stones that were too big to make pendants out of and took some shots. I resized to 700 pixels, but the program doesn't really show me what that looks like, just changes the size for saving. Here goes: Bowl-o-Rocks Crazy lace agate Cat head (he moved, was trying macro) cookie

Way to go Cookie! Love the Crazy Lace!
Kitties never seem to stare at you when you want them to!
Trying doing the same photos outside in the daylight. I think you'll be surprised at the color & shine when you compare them to the indoor shots.
700 pixels is good. Once you save it, just open up the saved file. Whatever you're using should show you the actual size...

WTG Cookie!! Aren't the digital camera's great. Looks like your getting a good hold on it too. 700 is good but 600 would be much better. Some still have smaller computers and wouldn't have to scroll back and forth so much to see all of the picture.
Is that pink quartz in the middle pic? What's the lighter colored rock with the squiggly lines, that's cool stuff?

The pink is rose quartz. I'm going to bust that up into smaller pieces and do it again, it was one of my first batches. See what we mean about fractures? Yours (quartz) came out great. The white with green "squigglies" is moss agate, it's a booger to get a shine on. That's another one I plan to break and re-do. There's some flint, red jasper and local stuff in there too. such mongrels, I'm suprised theyre not biting each other. . cookie

That pink quartz is really pretty and that moss agate is cool. What's the kind of peachy orangey stuff (like my color descriptions)? LOL

Thanks, everyone. This was a bowl of "seconds", they all need to be broken up and re done. But it's a little of everything I've done up till now that didn't make the pendant cut. The crazy lace didn't photogragh well, it's actually very nice, but I'm still gonna break it up into smaller pieces. Thank you KD, I'm humbled. Rocky, you're going to be so sorry you said that ;D cookie
