I'm looking to get 2 sintered wheels for my 8" Raytech Gemmaker and use my lortone 6" with complementing wheel grits. What are good grit options for shaping and preforming/forming on the sintered wheels. Should I go up a grit like I've heard (80 and 220 now). Also, where do you folks get your sintered wheels? Since removing the 80 and 220 wheels from my Lortone I'll have 2 spots free. I saw a cerium oxide wheel? ? or 2 higher grits after 3000. Which would be best please. Thanks

Because grit is embedded you need to go one step coarser to feel the same. 60/80 for 80 for example. I have sold a few cerium Novas from DP but never tried them. Expanding drums would give you many options (diamond belts, cerium belts, leather or felt belts, etc. Wide 3" surface would be handy for bigger pieces.
