I had no choice.. there was a lapidary estate sale! Here's what I picked up.. A few slabs Some Confetti Chrysocolla and unknown malachite(?) stuff A small chunk of silicon and some lil pink pretties 10 lb chunk of galena Dendritic stuff Nice big Brenda agate And 80 pounds of old school purple Burro Creek rough Not bad for $100 Rodney lonetreestudios beat me there by about 20 minutes and REALLY cleaned up. Story of my life.. heh

You did good! The pretty pink stuff looks like rhodochrosite. Great score on the Burro Creek!

Was your boss equally impressed? LOL! Seriously, I would have pulled over, too. Esp for the pink stuff and burro Creek.

Excellent! Just the 80 lbs of purple would've been worth being a little late.

Excellent! Just the 80 lbs of purple would've been worth being a little late. Exactly! For a hundred bucks, I'd say he stole it... All of it. (And he thinks I'm cheap, lol.)

Nice haul Brian!!!!! Can't wait to see some slabs of the purple.
I am sure glad that that sale was on your side of town, I would not be able to pass it up and I definitely don't need anymore rock. I cant imagine Rodney needs more rock. LOL

Thanks everyone! Yes, I still have a job.. I'm pretty sure lol Jean, I don't think you're cheap! I do know you're thrifty though Tim, actually this sale was closer to you than me! But I do agree, Rodney don't need no more rock. In fact he should forward some of his stash to me So I spent a nice rainy morning in my garage feeding my saws. I've been working on the smallest chunk of Burro Creek with my LS 12". Finishing up some other stuff on my old HP 18", but about to throw a bigger piece of BC on that one as well. Been lotsa fun listening to both slab saws simultaneously singing the silica song in stereo.. sooo sweeeet!

I can say the BC slabs coming off B's saw look even better in person! Brian's rock radar was dialed in picking those BC chunks out of the pile, was a good time rooting through all the goodies!
