Want to replace the blade on my 16" HP slab saw. Has an 11/16 nut but how do I hold the arbor tight to stop it from also spinning and remove it. Don't want to mess it up. Thanks

Left hand holds arbor pipe/tube. Right hand uses wrench on bolt. That’s how I do it on my 4” saw.

I put a big wrench through the spokes on the pulley so when you put torque on the saw nut the wrench will keep it from moving and you can get the nut off. You can also put the wrench on and roll it backwards till the wrench hits the back and knocks the nut loose but that doesnt always work right.

Remember to turn the nut in the same direction the blade spins. I use a wrench that sticks out past the blade, and if it doesn't turn easily I give the end of the wrench a sharp rap with a wooden hammer handle or a plastic dead blow hammer being careful not to hit the blade.
