Scroll down for new listing in Tucson. Saw it run today. Amazing. A well thought out creation by a master Engineer. Attention to detail is superb. Runs very quiet.
I removed items I purchased from the quote below.
Begin Adv.
If you've been looking for a hobby that will pay you to pick rocks, STOP! You are here!
This rock tumbler consists of 8 barrels, each designed to tumble up to 15# of rock, from the raw stage to the polished stage. My recipe takes a minimum of 6 weeks to process and it doesn't care what the rock is. YES, THAT'S 30 POUNDS OF ROCK POLISHED A WEEK! 2 barrels are dedicated to each phase of the polishing process. These have never been compromised. Each barrel is cushioned with a rubber liner to prevent shattering. There are 2 extra rough stage barrels in case you need to get ahead a bit.
This is a heavy tumbler, self-contained and on wheels. I even have some grit for you to get started.
I will walk you through the process, give you some tips on tumbling, and even tell you where I picked most of the rocks I'm going to give you. YES, GIVE YOU! There will be rocks from the UP of Michigan, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, and other states where I've forgotten that I picked them up!
YOU NEED TO SEE THIS!
Contact me to schedule a visit. Bring your truck and/or trailer, because there is a lot of stuff to load up.

The biggest problems besides finding space in the garage for it, would be feeding this beast! and figuring out what to do with buckets and buckets of polished rock!!

Figured it might be an opportunity for WI folks here. If I had the space and $, would snatch it up. The large tumbler could always be downsized a little. The extra's alone appear to be worth half of the asking price.

Just glad it's not in my area, otherwise I would be tempted. My garage already resembles the collision of a truck hauling rocks with a truck hauling scrap iron.

Good morning to all! I am the proud owner of the tumbler mentioned here. I am moving to the Tucson area, and while I could feed it more rocks from that area, I'll more than likely downsize the tumbler and go slower. Let's say I'm easing into retirement 12 years early.
First, thanks to Fernwood for posting the ad. That's what neighbors do.
Second, there is a very good reason why I built this tumbler: Grandchildren. They love Lake Superior and finding treasures for me to polish out. I probably have given away more rocks simply because I enjoy the looks that my grandkids give the rocks, then give me.
Yes, there are a lot of raw specimens that are included. There is a pail of Lake Superior agates, all of which are larger than golf galls, some approaching tennis ball size. There are 12 5-gallon buckets total, filled with specimens from all over the Upper Midwest, from the Mississippi River to the Rocky Mountains.
Just for the RTH crew, I'll discount it another $100 but I'd like to sell it as a set. Tumbler, barrels, raw specimens, and spare parts. Written and personal instruction is also included.
Again, Thanks! for looking.
Scott

MsAli There was more than one pail of Lakers. Many the size of golf balls, or larger. The other materials in the pails I looked at the top 1/4 of, were amazing. I only checked about 1/4 of the pails. Yes, Scott let me bring a few nice Lakers home with me, plus some other stuff. I could have spent hours there, just looking at his collection. Very drool worthy. I encourage anyone within a few hours of Tucson to connect with Scott after he moves there. You will not be disappointed.

I'd love to have it, but way too big for me. My place is pretty small and I have limited space. With a little luck he can get it sold before he moves.
