We are auctioning off this one LFRB stuffed with slabs and preforms. The box contains everything shown including lots of nice picture jasper and a wide variety of other materials.
Several members sent me materials individually and I am combining all of what they sent and adding in my own surplus slabs and filling out the box. Special thanks to fossilman , MsAli / fernwood , and roy for the donations! Much appreciated and will go to good use in the RTH general expenses fund.
Starting bid is $75 based on the wishes of one of the donors who set a desired "reserve" for their material. Trust me - it's a generous reserve even without all the other material included. Minimum bid increments are $5. I will split the cost of the LFRB freight - instead of adding $19, freight will be $9.50 added to the final bid. If the bid hits or exceeds $120 then all freight is included.
EDITED TO ADD: Freight is now included. Auction ends Sunday night 10/21 at 7PM PDT ... or whenever I post "closed"
Paypal or mailed personal check is OK.
As a side note, I get asked a lot about how folks can help the board financially including sending rocks to me for auctioning off. While every single offer to help is greatly appreciated, I'm headed into a transitional period right now where we are moving to a new house in late January. There's a lot to do including renovating the house, thinning out my rock piles and supplies at our current location, and completely moving and rebuilding my lapidary shop at the new house. What I'm trying to say is please no more rock donations for the near future.
Aside from bidding up this auction, the absolute best two ways that members can help cover the forum expenses now and into the year ahead are by using our Amazon Affiliate link for all of your Amazon purchases, or visit the RTH Store and buy a shirt or three. Christmas is coming up so don't forget a gift for your favorite rockhound or yourself. Everything in the RTH Store is "print on demand" so I can literally create anything you want to say on a custom printed shirt.
