OMG I love it, that's really neat Kim, you did a great job on the whitcomb creek agate. Hey chickie, you sleeping at all? LOL Just can't keep you off that grinder. You're definitely getting the hang of it, I can see improvement already. How do you feel about it now? Is it getting easier?

Excellet Kim! I bet the whitcomb creek agate was tough to do without damaging the crystals. I love the color. Also love the koi jasper, beautiful color. As usual, I like all of them but am especially drawn to the ones with colors I particularly love.
Do you start with a rough slab, rough rock, or something that has been tumbled and then shape it?

cher i am definitely sleep deprived these days lol. cannot leave the thing alone. kd you are right about the foam but the genie didn't spray any purple foam it was me dripping it going back and forth to the sink to wash the rock off lol. llana the white rock is the only one that has been through numerous course cycles and i finally took them all out because they have inclusions. the rest i've been cutting with my saw but i don't have the right set-up to get a true slab so mine are thicker than i'd like to work with. i've ordered some slabs from stone age ind. to see how i like having the proper size. i realllllllllllly want a slab saw but i don't want to throw the hubby into a state of shock too soon . but believe me i'm thinking how to make him think it was his idea lol. i thought i was gonna burn my saw up on that owyhee flower jasper - that is some hard stuff. phoenix you be a very good boy and drop lots of hints cause i'd like to see you get one! kim

Wow...great job. I'm really intrigued by the color of stichite...I had no idea it was lavender. Is it expenisve? hard to work with? and yes, that crystal one will make an awesome pendant. I've said it before and I'll say it again...my birthday is May 5. You may want to write that down! ;D

hermatite - cal (redwoodrocks) has the stichtite - look on the buy, sell, trade board - it's very soft.

the stichite is extremely soft and didn't tumble worth a darn, no shine....i'd put it all in a jar. i tried it on the grinder and it is easy to work with, almost TOO easy, and i could get a wee bit of shine on it, now i wish i had some bigger workable pieces!

Wow, Kim, youre an old pro at this allready. Great job! I kinda like the stone your neighbor gave you. Is that glare or is it really that color on top? I over heard my husband tell a friend he's getting me a tile saw for Xmas ;D Hermy, I found out you can't type the word that sounds like peenas (sorta)

Hello Kim,
Looking good! It is kind of addictive at first ... it's just a phase ... it should pass in about 6 years ;D
Enjoy and keep up the great work,
John
