No good deed goes unpunished. I just finished unpacking from last weeks show were I volunteered to demonstrate rock tumbling and realized the best rock I took was stolen. I had about a dozen of these on display in a container and when I packed up I just put the lid on the container not noticing it was missing. I have gone through everything I took and it did not turn up. This was one of my all time favorites. Obviously somebody else really liked it too. Glad I have the photo now. Chuck

That's a real bummer. I'm glad you got it in a photo for us all to see, but I know you'd like to have it. I thought I had lost one of my favorite tumbles the other day and it sucked. Sorry man.

I thought maybe a kid because they do tend to walk off with tumbles once and awhile but these were at the very back of the table. Plus it was the best of the best so someone knew it. I let every kid pick a nice tumbled tiger eye for free too probably a good 50 in the two days. Chuck

So sorry to hear that Chuck. It's so hard to keep an eye on everyone when you're at a show by yourself. All you have to do is be a little distracted talking to someone and the next thing you know something's missing.

If it had been any other rock on the table I probably would have never noticed. Chuck

I never understand how someone can ever enjoy something that they stole. I’d feel guilty every time I looked at that rock. I find that story sadder for the person who took your rock than I do for you. And I feel pretty darn bad for you.

May filching that rock come back to bite them in the ass. Sorry to hear about it, Chuck.

There were armed security and show staff patrolling all the time. On Sunday I heard someone say the show had a couple thefts the day before but never really gave it any thought because I did not have my jewelry there. I also noticed one vendor had cameras and multiple signs that warned about the cameras. I just thought that was kinda of odd at the time. Chuck

I doubt they will feel bad at all. People like that don't feel bad about screwing other people, they just work for themselves.

It's a rock that has a special beauty Chuck. It's now goin onward in its eternal trip thru other places, it was beautiful before you polished it, now it's regal in appearance. You added something to the rock Chuck, it will have that extra forever more....Ye done good Chuck!!!

Nothing worse than a thief!! If a person would have asked, than its a sell or give, but to steal, come on now... Sorry for the loss Chuck... Pretty soon, cameras will be up at every rock stand and (or) show...

a friends dad had a couple sayings that I find useful in life.
"If they can live with it I can live without it"
This one insert name in place of mule
"A mule will live a lifetime just to kick you once"
