I have had the same driver 99% of the time for the last 15 years or so. The guy is really great! He's super nice and friendly. He puts my packages inside my porch and gives a little honk. He always smiles and waves when we see him and he delivers the packages to us personally when we are outside. He doesn't whine about heavy packages. I NEVER have to worry about my UPS packages. One time, I got a package that was pretty banged up. He left it on the porch, honked and then waited to see if I was going to a accept it. (I did. The insides were fine.) I can never catch him to tell him all this, so I emailed UPS. To my shock, they emailed me back and wanted to know my details so they could forward the message to my local area. I will get a personal call tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping he gets a bunch of big atta boys. In this day and age of people complaining loudly at every chance, I just thought it was the right thing to do.

That was really nice of you Tela. I hope they called you and he got the message
A lot of them do not get any recognition and they do work really hard.

I did not get a call, but I think that was a robo email for complaints. They had all my info to find the right guy. I hope he gets kudos. I've had bad delivery people before, they make him look even all the more better. My regular mailman is pretty good, but we only have him about half the time- otherwise we get people who contract with the PO. They don't give a f**k- as honey badger would say.

Man having good UPS must be nice. Both UPS and FedX round here farm out deliveries to the post office and they are totally inept. Ordered a long package the other day via UPS because I knew it would not fit the mailbox. UPS sent me tracking saying it would be delivered to my door by end of day today. Then I get an email saying it had been dropped at the post office for delivery. Well crap! I know it's three feet long and will not fit the box so the mail deliverer will just leave me a note and not deliver the parcel to my home. Then I have to wait a day and drive clear to town to pick up the box. So, I go down to the boxes and wait for the mailman. He shows up and I ask for my UPS package. He says he figured it was too long for the box so he didn't even bother to bring it to the ranch. This despite tracking saying it was out for delivery today! So, make the 45 minute drive to town cause it's supposed to rain a ton tomorrow and the creek is already deep to cross. Get to the post office and ask the clerk for my box. She says it's out for delivery. OK, now smoke is shooting out my ears!!! I tell her my mailman has just sent me to the post office to pick up the box he fuggin left there instead of delivering. So she drags her fat ass to the back and "actually" looks for the box, which of course is there. I ID myself and get my box and mention that if they are accepting responsibility for UPS deliveries, they should adhere to the tracking info. She then blames UPS for lack of communication and tells me I should go complain to them. I explain they took responsibility for the delivering the parcel to my door when they accepted it cause they are acting proxy for UPS. The blank look on her face told me I was obviously dealing with either an ex Walmart checker or a zombie so I gave up.....Mel
PS: Even UPS here sucks. My favorite delivery happened last year. They delivered two full cases of pistol ammo to my house and set the box right behind the wheels of my wife's car parked in the garage. Below her field of view so she ran over the box and squashed a bunch of the cartridges punching a lot of the bullets deep into the casings which can be dangerous with an automatic pistol. So, I got to hand sort a couple thousand cartridges and measure each and every one. Too much fun. Thanks UPS and thanks also for all the parcels you either leave by the road to be stolen or throw over my fence into the bushes, including the $150 stetson that sat in the rain for a week.

My guy is great now, but the last one was the pits. He consistently sent my stuff to the wrong house and they played dumb about it and wouldn't give it back. Happened with an expensive camera and a case of glass rods to mention a few.
