Two slabs from a recent random rockpile buy. Feel like I should know the first one but don't. The second looks like Maury Mountain to me because of the dark green on the outside of the chunk.
Don't mind at all if you tell me I'm wrong about the moss - if it's from elsewhere I'll be looking for more from wherever that is!
Thanks.

First looks like Polka Dot agate (not all of it has white holding agate). Older stuff could look very similar to that. I agree with you that the second looks like Maury Mt.

I agree Polka Dot Agate and Maury Mtn. Some Maury Mtn. can be very dark green on the outside. I've has some that when sliced looks very similar to the dark green and clear moss agate from India.

Thanks folks.
Old Polka Dot would fit where I got it from. Now that you've mentioned it, maybe I had heard the older rough had some different colors.
As for the Maury Mtn, sometimes when there's less moss the swirls of orange and reddish colors resemble some types of Mexican. Some of the slabs from this chunk looked like that - with less moss and more of the opaque swirling colors.
Ah the fun never ends when buying from old collections, eh? The brown polka dot really confused me.
