I've been doing a little experimenting with braided copper. Here's what I came up with so far. I believe this one should be worn with a cord rather than a chain. Thanks for looking

That turned out really nice! The copper complements the stone well. I agree, a cord on that one.

I can't imagine braiding wire! What gauge is that?
Very nice!

I can't imagine braiding wire! What gauge is that? Very nice! Thanks for the comment. The wire measures .025 inches in diameter - think that would be 22 gauge.

I like it! Ive been braiding the bands for my rings and I love the look. Your braid is way better than mine!

I like that one. It is different in a good way. Copper looks good with that cab too.

Very cool! I like that a lot. I like the shape of the cab, too. I think this could be for a man or a woman.

I like it! Very unique and I don't think I've seen anything quite like that before.
So you loosely braided the copper then hammered it yes? In my clumsy hands that sounds like trying to herd cats into a bag but if you ever feel like showing the process - especially how the ends are finished - I for one would be interested.

Thanks for the comment. I had never seen this before either. I just dreamed it up. I actually braided the copper rather tightly. When I hammered it out the wires separated somewhat making it look loosely braided. It took me 3 tries to get it to this point. The copper wire kept breaking at the bail until I annealed them properly after hammering. I would be glad to show the process when I get a little better at it (right now the back looks kind of funky).

Funky backs are part of the learning process.

I like also, great job and looking forward to seeing the process and back as you refine it.
