Ok, fox actually have nothing to do with this except that what they call the night before Halloween here. Must be Fox Night cause the critters sure are busy tonight. I'm sitting here watching tv when I hear a loud bang ... sure nuff, the raccoons are on attack and dumped over my recycle bin. So there I am, outside, freezin my butt in our 39° temps and the rain, picking up all the recycle trash. I no sooner walk in the house and my hubby, who's looking out the window for the marauding coons says, "Hey, there's three deer in the front yard." It was a mommy with her twins, they are sooo cute. I didn't even think it worked, the pic was almost all black but when I lightened it there they were. Don't laugh at my pics but it's dark outside. LOL They ddin't even trip my motion light either. I got one just before it went off from when I was outside, the other I put the lens up against the window glass so I could use the flash. Stupid a$$ neighbor came whipping up the street and almost hit the babies. Hope they ran deep into the woods. Anyway, next thing I hear the back door open and hubby holler "get the hell outta here you !$#$%" The coon attack is back on!! ;D ;D

The only time I like venison is watching it on the hoof. But I did call my son to tell him, he wants me to lock them in the garage until next week when he comes up for hunting. LOL ... not!!

Thanks for the photo's Cher,
There is nothing more beautiful than to look out your window and see nature as it was intended to be seen.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks again,
John

I have been a deer, Moose, Elk hunter most of my life. The most painful moment was when I terminated one of those beauties. I almost became a vegetarian as a result of my feelings. Those are great pics. I hope you got a chance to watch them for hours. There is nothing like it. Venison does not match the view unless you got as hungry as I got.

doc i use to go hunting with my husband but i was really no danger - i was walking around wearing perfume, crunching leaves, rolling in the leaves, watching the clouds, shooting snakes.......i'm sure all the hunters gave a great sigh of relief when i quit going . i think they had a team meeting when they knew i was coming because the day always started with "we're gonna put you here" and then i imagine they all ran as far from there as possible lol. kim

At least you went with your husband. I do not know of too many wives that can claim that. Jenne would is she had to, or I wanted her to, but try as she might, and she would really try, you and she would have found a lot in common. No shame and lots to laugh at. I am sure you tried the best you could. So would Jenne. That is why we make jewelery and go to the supermarket. At least we eat.

I used to go hunting with my first husband, and we ate what was killed. But I only caught glimpes of a deer once in my scope. It was a doe and I couldn't help watching her before truely taking aim. By the time I did, her fawn had wandered up and I just watched them through the scope untill they walked away. We also hunted wild rabbit. As good as it tasted, I couldn't kill one. I was helping to skin them one night snd as I held it by the back legs to be skinned, it jerked. I dropped it and cried. That memory has haunted me since. It's allways been a mystery to me. We are carniverous, as humans, but I can't kill. Am I bad because I eat flesh? I think it is what we are meant to do. But I can't kill.

Yikes Cher looks like you got that white stuff already we are dreading. I hope summer is coming soon. spring has been way to cold for my liking.
I love your pictures, remind me of x-mas when I still lived in Holland, I only once saw a small roe-deer in the mainstreet of our town during a severe coldspell, looking for food.
Never seen a racoon in my life , have you got them on camera as well?
I don't like killing animals , but if I want to eat them I just have to, haven't learned to eat them alive yet.
My darling wife can't even kill a fly or mouse in the house. She prefers setting the trap as long as I empty the contents ;D
Thanks again
Jack
