I copied the original Facebook posting. PSA: We caught a thief today at the gem show! He had $1200+ worth of stuff from at least 5 different vendors! His name is John Bodmann (John Bodman) and I believe he resides near the Cleveland area, possibly North Ridgeville, Ohio. His profile says hes from Elyria. Here is his photo and profile. Please do us all a favor and ban him from any groups you admin and keep an eye out if you vend or go to gem shows in Ohio or the surrounding states. Thank you 😎 EDIT: Looks like his profile has been disabled. Sharing for members here not part of the RTH Facebook group.

Thanks for sharing that. I know the vendor shown in the video and the vendor that recorded the video. They both do the Michigan show circuit. They were also both at the show where I had something stolen at a few weeks ago. Glad to see someone got busted.

Thanks for sharing. At our shows we have members doing "security". What do you tell them to do if they see someone stealing something?

Thanks for sharing. At our shows we have members doing "security". What do you tell them to do if they see someone stealing something? The show where I had something swiped had armed security and club members constantly walking the floor and 3 vendors still reported having stuff stolen. Attendance was over 5,000 for the weekend so booths do get crowded and it is hard to watch everyone. My jewelry at shows is pretty secure and requires my assistance to get to but loose specimens are at risk. Chuck

Glad they caught him. 100% guarantee he re-sells it. Would be interesting to see if they can find him in the seller groups.
