"Insight -- wisdom made visible -- is written in these holy stones. Their language tells us that when abrasive material is judiciously and consistently applied over time, even the most solid material will break and allow light through.
Even the human heart."

Hermatite, that is quite profound and very true!
Something for each of us to ponder on when times are really rough and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is the adversity in our lives that shape us and makes us a better person.
I think about the adversity Sandsman, Doc, Shorty, my brother in law and a couple of others I know that have had to deal with and am in awe that they remain so cheerful and positive.

So true, good observations guys. Cheers to all who have made it through their darkest moments and became better for the experience. It reminds me of one of my favorite ancient Chinese sayings, I had it at the bottom of my posts for a while, here it is: " A gem cannot be created without friction, nor a man perfected without trials " There is a lot of wisdom in that short saying. But Herm, you really need to stop tumbling human hearts.....eeeauuuwww ;D Later, Don

Hmmm ... "Tumbling Human Hearts" would be a good name for a rock band...er...no pun intended.
