here is a slab of agate that i pulled out of my vib18 but i have a lot of polish sticking to my rocks its hard to get off am i using to much

very nice! when i've had polish sticking to mine it's because i have rough spots, pits, cracks OR a softer material mixed in my stone that is rougher and collects polish. but there may be other reasons that i don't know of.

Have you tried to wash this very nice looking agate with soap and warm water, toothbrush?
Won't hurt it

WoW that's cool! I wash a lot of my rocks with Simple Green, seems to work really good.

thanks the best i have found is laundry detergent i just thought somebody else had better luck with something else

gorgeous stone there, lotarocks, what kind of agate is it, do you know or should we just come up with a name for it...hahaha...we are getting good at it!

Borax my friend. Let Borax be your friend. I just finished a batch that retained a lot of polish in the soft spots and I did 2 12 hr borax burnishes and Viola! Clean as a wistle. I did 2 because after the first 12 hrs there was so much removed polish in the water I dumped, rinsed, and did it again. And it almost seems to help polish the stones a little more. Beautiful stone, by the way cookie

thanks i dont know what kind of agate i bought it at the rock shop and gave it a try, turned out pretty nice. So you will just have to pick a name for it
