I received my box yesterday. All I can say is unbelievable! The "free" filler material alone was worth the cost of the box. Encourage everyone to grab one of these boxes while you can. Thank you Tommy for offering RTH members some incredible rocks at a very reasonable price. For those who have purchased one of Tommy's boxes: Once the move is complete and they are settled, let's show our appreciation for what he has given us and flood him with new and exciting materials.

For those who have purchased one of Tommy's boxes: Once the move is complete and they are settled, let's show our appreciation for what he has given us and flood him with new and exciting materials. Thank you Beth, glad you are enjoying the box. I did take time and try to make sure that the value was there in every box at every price level. I will have a few more boxes coming - maybe just a handful though. The majority of what I've been selling is out of my personal stash pile trying to whittle it down to just a few milk crates for moving to Napa and thanks to you all I've been able to do just that. I appreciate the sentiment but please please please don't flood me with rocks With the move to Napa my garage/shop situation is getting much better - I've been working in a 1947 built single car garage with zero room to expand to a beautiful modern wide garage with plenty of space - but my rough rock area is going from a 1/4 acre back yard to a 40 x 20 concrete pad patio. Somehow we've figured out how to bring the 18" saw but we have neighbors inches away and I'm contemplating how to build a shed around it to contain the noise and mess. Again, I appreciate you and everyone who bought a box.

Hey, I did not say whether what would be sent was ear marked for you to keep or for a RTH fund raising auction.

For your new rock storage . . . I had a mfg co getting rid of a lot of these barrels for free. Drill the ends so water will drain out and cut them in half. Place, fill with rocks. Go crazy and even label them!

Go crazy and even label them! Good idea as long as they are kept indoors. For me anything outside needs a lid as the leaves and pine needles would fill them and create a real mess. I also have the problem of how to store the "one-offs". Those rocks that I may only have one rock up to a few pounds. Too many small containers. For everything else with larger quantities, it's pretty easy with 5 gal buckets and lids.

AND something square would better fit your small area.

Hmmm... square, self draining, weather proof, rock holding devices. Does such a thing exist?

Hmmm... square, self draining, weather proof, rock holding devices. Does such a thing exist? The rectangular Cat Litter buckets are the closest to your spec. Unfortunately they do not hold up as well outdoors with heavy exposure to the Sun. Plus the Plastic handles are not really made for 50 to 60 pounds of rock. I have about 20 of them with rocks but they are all in the garage. I do have about 30 - 5 gallon buckets filled with rocks behind the garage all with lids. Most of them only have about an hour or so exposure to direct sunlight so they should hold up. The neighbors Pool service guy has brought me about 8 of the 12.5 gallon buckets, filled 4. Unfortunately they are not movable as they are over 150 pounds each. Too many rocks, not enough time (or storage space!)
