Has anyone here used a lapidary bandsaw and/or can recommend one? I'm not looking for a toy but would like to stay in the $300-$500 range if possible. Thanks for your help! SSA

I got a diamond band saw on trade a long time ago. Have not used it yet, but that is what you should be be looking in to.

Thanks for the info - that helped out lots! I guess I should have stated that I have a 24" saw and a trim saw already...as well as a couple of grinders. I am hoping to find a band saw to keep me dry, especially in the winter time, and to save as much material as possible when cutting blanks.

I had an Inland bandsaw. Bought it when I was young and innocent.
Poorly engineered. Sold it to a friend for $25. Motor fine. Connections awful.
