This what I can not get, the top are still wet and look good 600 grit,i wash and scrub them let them dry then polish
The second one is what they look like after I polish them and let them dry this is how they look dry they do not look polished at all. Is this what everybody talks about they are needing to burnish the stones after polish or before?

The rocks shown in the last photo do not look ready to go to the polish stage to me. What they look like wet really has no bearing on when they are ready to move to the next stage. There's a lot of missing information here like what type of tumbler was used, how many stages and what grits were used, how much time per stage and how much grit/polish per stage. The rocks in the second picture also still have a whole lot of imperfections that could be trapping grit. If rocks are moved out of stage one with those types of imperfections the next stages will never remove them. To remove them stage one will need to repeated as many times as necessary.

Well the top looks the same when dry. The second photo is after polishing. All I have plans to do with 90% of this is to tumble the facet rough to see what I have to facet.
I have also through in some beryl piece of rough, crystals and some not so good beryl cabs as a experiment to see what would happen to the cabs. The top is after 600 grit and they looked just good dry as wet but didn't look no where as good after polishing with the beryl added. The beryl polished nice the quartz did not.
