Love the rocks you are posting. Can sympathize with Maine weather.
The opalized quartz is very interesting. I was recently given a quartz point with an opalized ghost portion in the middle. I have never seen a whole cluster of opalized quartz before.
I love anything fossil, always have. Was fortunate to unknowingly purchase 40 acres of farm/wooded land across the State about 3 years ago. Then found out it was both the furthest movement of the latest WI glacier and also the former site of 2 glacial lakes. I have found many fossils here, mostly corals and critters, but a few bones and other things.
So glad you are able to post photos of your finds.

Where you live I need to go rock hunting. Glaciers dump a lot of goodies crystals and other goodies keep a eye out look at every rock keep a spray bottle with you. A good spot to hunt is areas where there are rocks the bigger the better look around and underneath them you may be very surprised with what you can find. Don't know if I should put my glacier find also known as placer deposited stone up a keeper and one of a kind. Found it fishing in the mountains along with crystals from different places fishing in glacial streams and river beds. Old dried up bodies of water another great place to look for booties like arrow heads. Have fun this summer

More coral I have been looking over the coral that have holes in them. I think I am going to run one or two over the can king. I have two hollow ones one is pretty nice. The others need some TLC another hollow one needs a window cut in it. The third and fourth are the same one and is the one I need to cut a window in
