Seen a lot of Quartz that was iron stained, they are called "Golden Healers" by the locals in Arkansas. Some of these have a rainbow iridescence to them from the iron.

Yes same thing that's what we or I call Opalized quartz here in maine I have only found one other with crystals and 8 or 10 on milky quart those seem to hold the color better. The crystals do tend to fade over time this was iron oxidized. I have seen this in John betts fine minerals in his personal collection it was not for sale and another online whole sale dealer had one for sale very expensive. I would never sell one because I know they fade after exposure to sunlight.

There is a broken one and looks like the color is inside the Crystal. They only way to know is try it

Nice! I was panning for gold years ago and thought I found one. When I got home I cleaned it up with baking soda it was yellow and green with black mixed in. Turned out to be tarnished silver in the stone I thought it was a turtle shell from the shape of the stone.
