Okay folks, still learning the art of digital photography, so bear with me. The first two are of some kind of Jasper I found at a beach south of Santa Cruz, Ca. I was suprised at what I found inside when I cut into them. And these are a few cabs I did. The two ovals will be set into silver and I'm not sure what to do with the other one yet. That's all for now, but, as our state leader would say, "I'll be back" Ed

love the streaks in the jasper! that will make a nice cab too. do you set them in silver yourself or take them to someone else? very nice work! practice makes perfect with the picture taking!

Hey all. I cheat on the settings. I go to the local rock shop and buy the settings. The reason I still have the sodalite cab is cuz I got carried away with the grinding when I was making a necklace for my daughter, and it ended up to small for the setting. Fortunately they sell smaller settings. The yellow cab is from the box of rocks I got from the guy that sold me my slab saw, some type of agate.
