Great stuff. The third one reminds me of chocolate. Is this an unusual color for the area?
Top one in 11th photo is amazing. Nothing like the others.

Dang those are fantastic rocks James! I'm insanely jealous of your weather too. Getting darker by the minute from the approaching storm here in gloomy Wis.

I see Jax is guarding your stash. The chocolaty one looks really promising.

The crackle pattern on that red-pumpkin piece is really unusual. Reminds me of the Barbed Wire jasper from years ago, only redder.

A lot of the baskinite is made up largely of the dark brown. Also found the baskinite in purple, red-white and peach and white. Also found some of the dark brown with no pattern but very shiny near the main highway.

Great finds! the one on the left #10 looks interesting That one and the bottom one in the pic below are a peach color. Don't see those colors very often up there. Do find various shades of pink common opal from peach to salmon colored a couple hours South of this location.

I see Jax is guarding your stash. The chocolaty one looks really promising. I really like the pattern and color in that one. Probably won't cut it up. I was thinking instead about grinding the surface smoother instead then polishing it rather than cutting it up.

that was worth walking a mile for ! you must of had big bag, Lad! I carry a lot of larger pieces back to the truck individually. Smaller pieces in bags then usually put the bags in my backpack to make them easier to carry back.

Hi James, I'm sure I'm very late to seeing your post but I have been trying to get to Dead Camel Mountains tainted keep coming up at a loss. I made a video about the pictographs at Dead Camel Mountains and have tried 3 times to get to the actual mountain and we come up short. This last time we hiked with my 10 month old grandson and dog. We ended up having to turn around because of the heat. Is there any advice you could give me?
