I’m the proud new owner of a Taurus 3. I bought it in hopes that I can re-start an older post. A inlay bracelet with many stones. It’s suppose to be able to cut precise shapes an that’s what I need. Does anyone have any tips or have one of these? I won’t be able to play with it until after Quartzsite 😢

Take it back and buy a bandsaw That thing is expensive junk I have one Well I’m not going to do that. My inlay pieces are 1/8 to 3/16th of an inch thick. Nothing like cutting cabochons. I’m not saying your wrong Walt I’m just going to do what my husband calls Trust With Verification 😂. I see people all the time, experienced lapidary, abuse their trim saws. It’s lack of patience. I’m NOT saying my next updated post won’t be a video of me cursing and throwing it in the yard BUT I’m hoping it will be a video of me cutting a precise piece of an inlay piece. Time will tell. Plus it even cuts silver and copper. Should help on piercing work. I bought the separating blade as well. I’ll keep in touch! Muah

Its pretty darn nice and easy to work with. You can cut forward-back and even side to side... getting all sorts of edges and nooks and crannys on your pieces if needed. Havent cut any rock with it, but glass it cuts with ease and just take your time with it. Gotta go much slower than trim saw
