OK guys..I just paid $3.80 for these drill bits at my local tool store. I paid $12.50 for the very same thing on ebay !!!! If anyone would like me to send them a set of these, I will be happy to go get them and send them to you. You will need only pay the cost of the bits plus postage. I will not make any money on these bits. Please let me know if you want some at this low price.... Pho I will send them to you and you can send me a check if you wish. This is too good a deal to pass up.......

The bits will last forever with lubrication and very high speed. Diamond bits are made for high speed and light pressure. I use Burr Life. It is blue coloured, hard, parafin based and works great. Burns off when soldering.

The diamond bits are sintered/plated onto the tool. At lower speeds, the piece being worked by the diamond tool chisels into the sintering. It is very common with faceting which uses low speeds to chisel away the sintered/plated material before using the edges of the diamond. On rpm., my foredom has a tool speed increaser for diamond bit work. It takes the maximum speed of 7000rpm of the foredom and increases it to 15,000 to 30,000. At high speed, the base material holding the diamonds is pushed down by the lubrication medium. This is why diamond tools are almost always wet. There are a few exceptions, tile saws, concrete saws, etc. The lubricant produces a compressable layer that repels the plating and leaves the diamond exposed. Of course that leaves a very minute amount of diamond actually working. As the diamond fractures, it self sharpens. Needless to say, the area gets smaller as the diamonds sharpen down. Slow speed loosens the diamonds, and they float in the liquid medium untill they are thrown off. We see this in faceting. A "perfect" pre-polish, suddenly there is a thump.......thump heard on the stone. Upon inspection, there is a groove in the stone being ground. Also, the faster the tool works, speed wise, the less chatter or visible waving. I would say, 7000 and up gives optimum life for diamond tools.

Those bits fit the largest chuck in the four bit dremel set. I have used those bits for years, and found them to be very reliable. Diamond Life is a foreign brand and they are very competitive with top end diamond bits. Yes, they will fit a Dremel.

Those are similar to the ones I got on ebay, but the set I got was 30 piece and was 40 grit. Does it say anywhere what the grit is? I run mine wide open for the most part. Definitely get two or three stones shaped up before they wear out. I'm talking taking down thicknesses of 1/4 inch or more on a stone the size of a quarter so they will do a lot of work. LOL Takes some time and determination, light pressure and keep them wet. I sent you an instant message Pho and thanks. It's very kind of you to offer to do this for us.
