my sis is out of the country and couldn't come home for thanksgiving so she's sending me blurry pics of rockshops and causing me to drool cause even blurry i can see those huge spheres and that humongous amethyst cathedral!  now she's got my interest in what she might get me for christmas lol. kim |

kd she's in malaysia working. begging us to come visit her but i checked on a ticket and that is not going to be happening lol. i've been asking her since she went in may what kind of rocks they have over there and she just kept saying geodes halves. i see lots more than geode halves in that store!! i sent her 3 e-mails back to back asking about prices and sent her links to compare prices with u.s. prices. she better be getting me some things! look at those spheres! what size do you think they are??

oh, wow, Malaysia! too cool! i'll bet some of that stuff is cheap by comparison.....have your sister go into the shipping business there on the side!!! how long is she there for? have her take more photos!!!!! of EVERYTHING!
they do a lot of Jade in Malaysia, don't they?

she e-mailed me back and said that big cathedral is almost 38 lbs and costs $932 u.s. now i have no idea if that is a good price or not but i do know i'm not spending that lol. i told her to go back and see about those spheres and some smaller pieces. her pic is so blurry i can't even tell what kind of spheres they have. maybe calcite and rose quartz but hard to know - told her to ask. she should have never sent me this - i'll be bugging her to death now lol.
kd she's been over there since may with 2 visits home for a wk or so. she'll be back around christmas but will not be coming to see us as she is going to florida looking for a house i think. but she can mail me something while she's home ;D.

she better fill her suitcase this time.......customs guys just LOVE rock collections!
FYI for all you would be shippers to international destinations.....the USA has changed ALL the flippin' forms, if you have old ones, toss'em. i spent an hour filling out new ones after spending the same amount last night filling in old ones....such is life in post 9/11!
luckily my little Post Office ladies cut me a lot of slack. and it's a little village.
what i didn't send through the mail (which was mainly handmade stuff) i ordered online for family and friends. we'll see what gets there and what doesn't.
my holiday shopping/shipping is almost complete!
