Let's call this an off topic. After having a WIX website for 19 months that sends buyers to a 3 year old Etsy shop some interesting data has been gathered. It is the website that sets the buying pace. The buyers view the web site first, then jump over to Etsy to make a purchase. This is how the website is set up. The website repetitively leads the Etsy shop in views from serious buyers that result in purchases. If the website views drop the sales drop. In the case of an unusual lasting drop in website views(3 times in 2018) the person that manages the website is contacted and adjustments in SEO are made. As soon as corrections are made the sales pick up. Conclusion is many window shoppers exist on Etsy. Those with intent search Google or other search engines for this product. Customers are rarely repeat customers, these are about all one time purchases. Red line is Etsy views, blue bar graph is income: These are website views: This trend is so repetitive that predictions can be made on the amount of purchases several days in advance by observing website views. Of course their are seasonal effects in activity volume but the website trends dominate future sales. WIX and Etsy are partners and using Etsy for handling credit card purchases is convenient but rather costly due to finance charges(3% I believe).

The graphs are really very interesting and help quantify what is happening.

The graphs are really very interesting and help quantify what is happening. Etsy analytics(statistics) and Google website analytics were used to arrive at these graphs victor1941. Google analytics is totally comprehensive and allows you to track many details. Right down to the IP address and operating system of a client. Scary what they know. But the internet is public domain and Google takes full advantage of this fact. No privacy at all but great for stalking client behavior. It does take time to accumulate enough data to understand client behavior and trends. It can be tricky to know which data is most important to analyze for understanding the concerns of your business.
