Hi all, it's me Don. James, I was checking out your earlier posts of your knapped points and they are great. It took me much longer to make beauties like that buddy. Fantastic work. Rick also expressed an interest in knapping and I'd like to see some of his work too. Like you James, I am always a little hesitant in posting knapping pics on here as it is a tumbling site, but most everyone seems to enjoy seeing any type of rock pics and I don't think it hurts once in a while. I was a knapper long before I was a tumbler and it is still my passion. Here are a few of my favorite recent points from November. I hope you guys (James & Rick) or any one else knapping on the site, will add pics to the thread. Talk to you all later, Don [/img]

Thanks all . Sorry Cher, I should have told what the material was in the first post. Yes, the bottom pic is 'Mook' jasper as is the point in the top pic on the top left with the purple line through it. All other points are made from Flintridge. Don

Don, those are beautiful! I love the one out of Mook - absolutely gorgeous!
And, I don't think anybody will mind a bit if you post lots of pics of your knapping. We just love rocks - any kind of rocks! And, we especially love seeing what people do with their rocks.

Wowywowser!. Gotta love the Mook. Great job! I just won a little over 10 lbs of flintridge flint on ebay, beautiful colors. I may have to take up this knapping thing, but I need a "Knapping for dummies" tutorial ;D

Thanks for all the kind words all! I appreciate it. Rick, I've been chippin for about 8 1/2 years now. Well, the old puter has been acting up and slowing down even more than usual lately. It is headed for the shop for a long over-due rebuild. I probably won't be back till after the new year, so I wanted to wish everyone a happy holidays ;D Talk to ya later, Don
