Thought I'd share what I did at lunch Here's the obsidian I pulled out of the first stage, I think it's ready to move on and should take a nice polish And it's happened. I'm thinking like a cabber. Here's one that I just cut. I think I'm going to try to cut it out and cab it. This I'm almost embarrassed to share, what with all of the pros here. Started playing with the dremel to see what it would do. This is a nice piece of puddingstone that manofglass was kind enough to send me. Only about a half hour in I learned that it's going to take some practice. Yes, I know it's not smooth- or even shaped yet- but I'm learning.

Yup, that's what a cabber would do. Looks like a good frame up. Now, you know what you have to do......

The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. I am a professional and this forum is not judgemental, and great for feedback and assistance. Nobody ever started out an instant pro, you'll get there, mostly just getting a feel for you tools.

The obsidian looks like it will polish nicely.
However, now you've gone and done it. You're doomed. Start looking for a used cabbing machine on Craig's list.

The PS is coming along nicely. It takes a lot of time with a Dremel.
