I seem to start out with the intention of polishing one type of stone, but By the time I get the 15# barrel full, it seems to end up with more 'Other Stuff' than what I had in mind to begin with. So as it progresses, by the time I get to polish I have a real 'Mutt' of a load. I thought that these photos might be interesting backlit, so that's what you'll see for the first few. You be the judge. Rose Quartz- Lace Agate- Typical 'Rockshed' mix- Hawks eye doesn't back light well- Green Aventurine and Quartz- Flint Ridge Flint- Believe it or not these all polished in the same barrel at the same time on the same tumbler, in the same house, in Arizona. Titianium Oxide is my polish of choice. Thanks for looking!

been wondering where you've been lately, now i know you've been busy making beautiful shiny stones!! those are awesome, Banjo, truly amazing shine for a "mutt" load! how long did you run those in the Titanium Diox?
i love that flintridge flint, is that local to you or did you buy/trade for it?
way to go, Banjo!

KD- I got the Flint Ridge Flint of of e-bay a while back and I think this is the last of the schnipples laying about. The batch ran in Titanium 7 days.

Banjo, a beautiful batch! Of course, all your batches are beautiful! They are all beautiful, but I really like the green adventurine, Hawk's Eye and Flint Ridge.

Hey Banjo, they look fantastic man. I like the backlit on the rose quartz and lace agate. Didn't have any problems with fracturing? They look great. Have you been doing any faceting lately?

Beautiful batch, Banjo. I've NEVER gotten green adventurine or rose quartz to take a good polish, that's awesome. Guess it's time to order some Titanium! Flint Ridge Flint is my all time favorite. Just got 12 lbs on Ebay, good price, too. Thinking of holding off on it 'till Santa brings me a slab saw cookie

OMG Banjo, those are gorgeous. I just love the way you do your pictures, that back-lighting is great. You always have such gorgeous looking stones with great shine. Dang I need a bigger tumbler!!

Stoner- I am very slowly getting into faceting again. I got a flat lap that I am beginning to do cabs on, and I mounted a faceting head that I picked off e-bay for $85 on the table. I'll be getting used to it over the coming months. Thanks for the inquery. I'll post something when I have something presentable. Working on different patterns and designs for jewelry wrapping right now. Just kind of experimenting and going crazy I guess-

Wonderful tumbled stones, you always turn out great stuff. My favourites are the Hawk's eye and the highly polished blue stone (I presume sodalite?) in the Rockshed mix... I don't recall seeing sodalite with such a shine before.
Funny, many people seem to like the backlit effect, but I prefer the straight-on pics.
