Beautiful rock! Reminds me of Florida/GA agatized coral.

I think I picked that one up in the Blue Forest. If it wasn't there then it was at a location a couple dozen miles South where there is a tremendous amount of stromatolite and some cycad mixed with occasional limb wood. South Western Wyoming.

Everyone, I have a fair amount of material from this area and will sell cheap, trade, whatever. If you would like some just PM me with specific needs and I'll hook you up. Woodman had a thread with other photos of material somewhere too. The only problem is my stash is covered with snow at the moment so we might have to wait a bit till it's melted off for me to cherry pick pieces. I love to trade material and strive to keep it affordable for everyone.

It might be interesting to make a cut 90 degrees and see what one gets. This would probably make good cabs from the areas of lot s of agate. On a FB paage some one had a piece of this stuff that formed around a petrified wood section.

A goodly amount of this material can be found with yellow/orange crystals that had filled voids in the center of the pieces. Layers of botryoidal chalcedony are also common it it.

Minerals? Fossils? Random stones from my driveway? I'm mostly interested in cutting rough. PM inbound.
