Thx, I haven't, though I do have another piece that is polished that I won in a drawing. Have you cut/polished any? Photos? Looks real nice.

Is this material the same as labradorite? If not, then what makes it different? Sure wish I had a deposit nearby my area.

Is this material the same as labradorite? If not, then what makes it different? Sure wish I had a deposit nearby my area. Anorthoclase is an Alkali feldspar where Labrodorite is in the plagioclase group. See the diagram halfway down the page in the link.

Adularescence, now thats a $20.00 word. Was having a discussion about that very thing recently, he knew chatoyence wasn't the right word for feldspar schiller, but we couldn't remember what the right one was, and were too busy digging through rocks to google it.
