My son found this the other day and thinks it's coral. It's pretty big, about 2 by 3 inches maybe a half an inch thick. I told him I'd ask. I'll probably have to slice an end off and take another picture just wondering if anyone can tell. I like the crystal circle anyway...

Looks like a caramel nut cookie. Interesting center piece. Wonder how that happened. What made the depression.
Glad your son kept it! Thanks.

No idea what made that depression, it's been too dang cold to get in the garage and cut but I may try and do something with it. It's kind of funny, when we're out hunting and he thinks I'd like something like this he tosses it into my already overloaded backpack. I hear "This one would make a good tumbler" or "Here's some wood" then a clunk. Makes the hike back to the vehicle take a little more physical effort

Interesting and pretty, but I don't think it looks much like a coral...

When I first glanced at the picture, I thought you had tried to drill it. I also don't think it is coral, but would love to see what it looks like inside when you slice.
